Snow White and Seven Dwarfs in China: a comedy

so my class decided to depict a play from the original cast of the best loved Disney movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.  They recreated the scene wherein they joined the Olmpics 2000 in China…. and before you know it everybody got wiggety and funny….

it’s a new twist to the story and what made it even funnier are the way they portrayed their roles… we had a lot of fun! …

congratulations to the Grade 9B for making it big!!!!!

Cheering Team

So this was a photo taken during our recent SM Cheerdance Competition held at the SM Department Store Sta.Rosa, Laguna.

And yes, this was our first time join any competition outside school (long story)….  and yes, again we won Third Place even if we only practiced for two weeks….

God, it was so tiring and I guess we just nailed that high…. every team was just fabulous and full of energy!!!

I just hope we will be able to continue and excel in this field…. if you wanna know where I am…I’m wearing a pink polo shirt… on the left side area of the photo….. hahahaha… i can’t even see myself clearly….

Diary of an Ordinary Girl #4

So time flies so fast…. well, recapping my past week… was a hell out of fun!!!

We annually have our Language Week for the month of September. And we joined a lot of competitions.    First of we had this human tableau contest wherein people will act as if they were a sort of a “photo” out of the story. Then we came up of an idea of using the Red Cross as our main theme since the focus is “cultural peace”… and hey, there isn’t any more diveresed cultural group of people trying to piece together the tattered soul of humankind than these heroic volunteers.

So,  there we conceptualize the areas like war,  famine, flood, and mass death situations. Yep,  we need a lot of emotions to wrap up and things to think about when it comes to  creating and lettign the viewers know what we wanted to portray… like…. hey this is what we want to tell you.

In the end, we won the contest and as an added bonus our tableau was one of the best that time… so hey, lucky us right?!

The second competition we had to worry was the Speech Choir entitled WE CAME TO EDSA…     I kinda just helped along the way  especially in the last part since my students were not able to conceptualize the entire piece.

And of course it was a labor of love since we had to stay longer than the expected hours we need to stay in school just  to finish our costume ( yeah, we won best in costume plus best male and female performer) as well as our other props.   The lighting was a good effect and hopefully I’ll be able to attach it here one of these days if I am not that busy.

Lastly, three of my students also joined an Essay Writing Competition and yes, we received the Championsip Award in that area too!
In total, we were able to have five awards that day. Champion in Human Tableau, Champion in Essay Writing Contest, Best in Costume for The Speech Choir, Best Male Performer and Best Female Performer for Grade 9.   Uhuh… I am a grade 9 adviser. And  I am happy and honored to be their second mom.

Diary of an ordinary girl #2

So I know it’s been a while before I was able to finish tying my shoes again….

I didn’t know how hard it was for a someone like me in my late twenties to experience something so revolting that I wish I didn’t have the stomach in the first place….  —-     So my parent’s are having marital problems (like separating)… yeah big deal!

I have known recently that the word separation isn’t as extraordinary as it sounds 20 years ago but still I was shocked and confused at the same time.   How on earth can they do that to me?  I mean they are old enough (and I hope mature too) to think separation is the answer to their problems.

Yes, a third party was brought up and I had been having hallucinations on this part on how I might be able to kill the girl in different styles once I see her…. but then again that’s just a hallucination.

so they say that if your father reaches 40, it seems that he feels he’s on the top of the world.  but for sanity’s sake… he’s almost over 50 now.  yeah, sorry for all the negativity in this post but I am just bewildered as I was a few weeks ago.

They’ve been married for more than 20 years and this is the end of it… so marriage or no marriage there is still no guarantee that you ” will live happily ever after, for richer or poorer…till death do us part? “

Like why do it in the first place if you are not ready to face those facts, right?  (ugh!) here I go again lamenting on my ordinary life… sorry my mess!

It’s just that I was raised to protect and honor my family like all the nuns in our school said. Choose your vocation wisely and make the most out of it.  (well, so much for the advice.)

anyway, i had a short moment with my dad (actually i think that was about 12 hours) last Aug 26 – 29.  Yes, i do not live with my parents and they are totally far from me (like literally).  So I only see them during Christmas Vacation or if I have an extra money, I manage to go visit my hometown during summer time.

Again, I’m ok with living alone and cause I decide independently.   I think that I will feel the pressure if I was at home will this problem reeking into the corners of our house.  Then I was thinking how my brothers were handling the situation.  Do they want to ran out of the house to feel peace or what?   I don’t know. Though they call me or text me from time to time, we find that common rule not to talk about our parents…. to settle things postively I guess.

So … yes this is a bad sign but i hope they will be able to patch this in time like what they have done with the other problems they have encountered.

i hope we all will see the light behind this dark curtain.
