The Alchemyst: The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel

Michael Scott

He holds the secret that can end the world.

The truth: Nicholas Flamel was born in Paris on September 28, 1330. Nearly 700 years later, he is acknowledged as the greatest Alchemyst of his day. It is said that he discovered the secret of eternal life.

The records show that he died in 1418.

But his tomb is empty.

The legend: Nicholas Flamel lives. But only because he has been making the elixir of life for centuries. The secret of eternal life is hidden within the book he protects—the Book of Abraham the Mage. It’s the most powerful book that has ever existed. In the wrong hands, it will destroy the world. That’s exactly what Dr. John Dee plans to do when he steals it. Humankind won’t know what’s happening until it’s too late. And if the prophecy is right, Sophie and Josh Newman are the only ones with the power to save the world as we know it.

Sometimes legends are true.

And Sophie and Josh Newman are about to find themselves in the middle of the greatest legend of all time.

Book Review:

This book is the first part of a series of fantasy adventure books from Michael Scott, a renowned writer, that will always put you on the edge. The story is rivetting in a lot of ways that you will feel that you are part of the story. And in actuality, the author went into the extreme of writing down the details of the past as a fact. you;ll fin yourself craving for more reads as you head to the last chapters of the book,

The Edge Chronicles: highly recommended

this book will entice you and captivate your being that you won’t be able to put it down. It’s beyond my dreams and illusions!

so i visited National Bookstore in Manila a few months ago because they had this huge sale on books… so i began the tormenting rhythm of rummaging among the thousands of books on a big wooden boxedshaped panel where all the “ON SALE” books were randomly displayed.

(painstakingly) and so again, it took me another one hour to browse from one title to another… then before i finally decided that my patience is running out. i found this medium sized hardcover uniquely embossed book entitled “The Edge Chronicles” by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell, the two most prominent english authors who work for children.

Now it exist 7 novels, 1 story and 1 guidebook about Edge. You can find them all in the book stores as Amazon.com etc. The 8th novel will be publish this October. Authors plan to create 10 novels in sum. And i’ll be waiting for a longer time maybe for the last three books to arrive in our country. (tsk!)

and yes…. i was totally fascinated with this set of books. and i mean totally engrossed and believe me… this book will totally blow your mind away.

the illustrations are all so vividly sketched and i was even seeing the very heart if the Edge..

i just hope some directors from the film insdustry will be able to find a wy to put this into a movie… its like narnia and lord of the rings with a little of peter pan theme in it. It’s just sooo awesome!!!!!

Names of the Books:

“Beyond The Deep Woods”

“The Midnight over Sanctaphrax”

“The curse of Gloamglozer”
“The last of the Sky Pirates”

This is a very simple instruction….

  • In the Group Policy window, go to the path, User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Ctrl + Alt + Del Option .
  • Double click on the Remove Task Manager which is in the right hand of the Group Policy window.
  • In the Remove Task Manager Properties, select Disabled and then click Ok.

restart your computer and wallah your done!!!
